Free Leaf | A Downtown Apothecary & Boutique | Greeley, Colorado

Located inside the historic Campus Pharmacy building in downtown Greeley, Free Leaf is a unique Apothecary & Boutique inspired by nature, simplicity, and healthy living. They provide eco-friendly, handmade goods, and the owners, Ashley + Evan, recently moved into this location to be housed under the same roof as Margie's Java Joint, who they often collaborate with. An old wooden ladder that belonged to Ashley's Grandfather greets you in one corner of the store, adorned with old paint and new plants. Ashley started her business years ago in her small apartment and grew from there until she opened her first brick and mortar in Greeley. Most days of the week, you can pick up locally made mini flower bouquets from Mariposa, a downtown flower shop, fresh from Ashley's shop-- waiting patiently in a vintage wooden crate for you to take them home. I spent a beautiful afternoon photographing her space in this charming historic building to tell the story of her business, and it was rejuvenating. Working alongside women entrepreneurs to tell their stories is a major passion of mine. Check out this badass lady boss:

From linen bags of lavender to mini wooden spoons perfect for your next cup of tea, Ashley's shop offers unique, quality products.

Ashley mixes her own essential oil blends and you can pick from many options.
Loose leaf tea is the heart of the business, and the unique blends at Free Leaf are crafted with synchronicity in mind.

Ashley and I took a quick pic at the end of our session-- a rarity as I am usually not in front of my camera.

And here they are-- Ashley + Evan! These two work hard to make Free Leaf what it is.

Next time you're downtown, wander into Free Leaf and I dare you to leave without picking up something amazing. Cheers to small businesses that make the town go 'round!
